Athens author Lillah Lawson is celebrating the release of her fourth novel with an evening event at Athens-Clarke County Library. Lawson’s novels defy genre, but often contain elements of Southern gothic, historical fiction and horror. Her upcoming novel, So Long, Bobby, is set in Athens following the lives of three women from the 1960s to 2018. Lawson explores themes of mother-daughter relationships, aging, addiction and what it means to be a family. So Long, Bobby also touches on many of the social and political issues in Athens throughout the years, as well as featuring many classic local landmarks. Copies will be available to purchase at the event.
