Calendar Pick: Rabbit Box: Ready or Not

Rabbit Box’s first installment of the year is fast approaching. This month’s theme, “Ready or Not,” will be emceed by Debra Brenner, a long-time advocate for the deaf community. For the uninitiated, Rabbit Box is a live storytelling series which strives to connect the community and seek common threads. Each month, a theme is chosen, and people submit personal stories for consideration based on the theme. This month’s theme centers around facing and accepting uncertainty in life, with stories from Gary Nason, Mimi Sodhi, Anthony Elmore, Paul Guillebeau, Jon Segar and Lee Epting, ranging from unexpected injuries to unexpected responsibilities. Food trucks will be at the show, as well as a cash only bar. Upcoming themes include “Duets” (two speakers at a time) in February, “Mystifying” in March, “Awkward!” In April and “Gone but not Forgotten” in May. Visit rabbitbox.org to pitch a story.
