Los Angeles-based comedian Adam Newman will grace the stage of The World Famous to perform “The World is Ending and We’re All Gonna Die,” a show that’s half stand-up, half musical comedy. Some may remember the name Adam Newman from a viral video posted in 2012, in which Newman, during a set at Laughing Skull Lounge in Atlanta, pulled a bag of cocaine from the interior pocket of an audience member’s coat. Well, it’s been nearly a decade since that video was released, and he didn’t let that admittedly frightening experience deter him. Newman also lived in Athens for five years, during which time he was a member of the bands Coulier and Just These Dudes. Since then, his work, both music and comedy, has been featured on “The Late Show with Letterman,” “Late Late Show with James Corden,” John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, MTV, Animal Planet, CollegeHumor and Comedy Central. He also has a one-hour stand-up special on Amazon.
