Calendar Pick: Artist in Residence Victoria Dugger

Victoria Dugger

The Lyndon House Arts Center continues its artist in residence program with Athens painter and sculpture artist Victoria Dugger. Dugger received her MFA in studio art and design from UGA’s Lamar Dodd School of Art. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Hyperallergic, ArtNews, New American Paintings MFA Edition and other publications. Dugger’s work, both her paintings and sculptures, are colorful and enthralling. Themes centered around the human form and sexuality recur throughout. Her work has also appeared in solo exhibits in The Museum of Sex and the Sargent’s Daughters gallery in New York City. Dugger has been in residence for the last three months, with full access to the arts center’s studio space. The open studio visit on Oct. 27 provides visitors and fellow artists the chance to interact with the artist in residence in their element.
