The Kourtesans, Athens’ favorite purveyors of drag, will celebrate their seventh anniversary with a crazy show at the 40 Watt, including special guest Skyler Jay. Since his appearance on “Queer Eye” in 2018, Skyler gained a large online following, giving him a platform to speak to his experience as a transgender individual. Since 2018, Skyler has co-founded Aadya Rising, a nonprofit, queer advocacy and outreach organization, and speaks nationally. Launched in 2020, Aadya (the Sanskrit word for source of power) Rising is still very new, but its reach already expands beyond Georgia, the state in which it began.
