Cosmic Charlie’s Dark Side of the Dead

Since its formation in 1999, local Grateful Dead tribute crew Cosmic Charlie has played around 800 shows, using the iconic California jam band’s music as a heady foundation while incorporating its own members’ varied influences to create a unique and immersive sound. Saturday at the Georgia Theatre, the group will present another installment of its most ambitious undertaking, Dark Side of the Dead, which invites Pink Floyd’s viscous classic Dark Side of the Moon to the party. Cosmic Charlie will play that album in its entirety—complete with two drummers, four keyboardists, backup singers and a saxophonist—sandwiched between two sets of Dead favorites.
