Beautifying the walls like a modern-day WPA mural, Jill Biskin’s hand-painted “Classic Vistas” are the latest commission of the Classic Center Cultural Foundation. Reflecting the artist’s years of experience painting stage scenery in New York City before moving to Georgia, her mural pays homage to Athens by incorporating local landmarks like the 40 Watt Club, Botanical Garden, Tree That Owns Itself, Murmur trestle and Athena statue. Sunday’s unveiling will precede a performance by the Athens Symphony Fall Concert, and a second open house will be held before A Bronx Tale on Nov. 11 at 5:30 p.m. RSVP to foundation@classiccenter.com.
