Matt Talbott Living Room Show

Over the course of four studio albums in the 1990s, alt-rock band Hum fine-tuned its visionary blend of shoegaze, metal and post-rock, a process that culminated in the underground masterpiece Downward Is Heavenward and established a template for the current generation of dream-rock revivalists. Recently, there have been new signs of life from the Hum camp, with the band teasing new material and frontman Matt Talbott striking out for his first-ever solo shows. Talbott will play Athens as part of Undertow’s Living Room Tour series, where fans host intimate performances in their homes, studios or businesses. As of press time, there were a few tickets available at undertowshows.com for the local gig, whose location is revealed upon purchase.
