Mega Bog, Christina Schneider, Realistic Pillow, Avery Leigh’s Night Palace

As Mega Bog, roving songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Erin Birgy conjures otherworldly pop visions in the spirit of Laurie Anderson and David Bowie, with deeply personal lyrics inspired by contemporary poetry and sci-fi. The list of collaborators on Mega Bog’s upcoming studio album, Dolphine, is vast and includes a few names familiar to Athenians, including saxophonist Jeff Tobias (Dark Meat, Sunwatchers) and guitarist Ash Rickli. Rickli, who died unexpectedly in 2017 at age 30, contributes an entire track to the LP—“Spit in the Eye of the Fire King,” a poignant and reflective number. Christina Schneider of indie-pop band Locate S,1 shares Tuesday’s bill, as do locals Realistic Pillow and Avery Leigh’s Night Palace.
