Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Benefit

Dedicated to fighting blood cancer, the volunteer-driven Leukemia and Lymphoma Society holds an annual Students of the Year campaign, during which high-school students from around the country compete to raise funds for and awareness of the 70-year-old nonprofit. As part of her candidacy for the award, Athens resident Clara Miller has organized an impressive benefit concert at Hendershot’s featuring sets from Winterville folk guru Jim White, as well as local favorites Claire Campbell and Cicada Rhythm. Attendees will also be treated to a rare performance from acclaimed alt-country duo Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs, who will make the trek in from their Madison County horse farm.
