Very Good Puzzle
A new locally owned business has a plan to get affordable art into everyone’s hands. Very Good Puzzle will debut with its first line of puzzles featuring 16 designs by 14 local artists, including Lou Kregel’s geometric “Chrysanthemums,” David Hale’s black-and-red nature illustrations, Susan Pelham’s collage of “McGregor’s Garden,” Vernon Thornsberry’s oil painting of The Grit and Lisa Freeman’s unusual portraits of children. Puzzles are professionally printed with recycled cardboard and soy-based inks, and a percentage of each purchase goes to the artist. The launch party will feature snacks, raffles and an opportunity to try your hand at solving the jigsaws.
