Featuring hundreds of beers to sample from dozens of breweries—including many not usually available in Athens and 55 special casks—the Classic City Brew Fest is one of the South’s largest beer festivals. It moves from The Foundry to a new location this year, the Athens Cotton Press, but just like always, it will have live music and food trucks to soak up the suds. A free shuttle will run between the site and Trappeze downtown. The beer fest is also the culmination of Athens Beer Week, which started Monday Apr. 9 and features special brews and events at a number of bars, restaurants and local breweries, most notably Terrapin’s 16th Anniversary Carnival on Saturday, Apr. 14.
