David Bromberg Quintet, MrJordanMrTonks

Septuagenarian folk singer-songwriter David Bromberg has enjoyed a lengthy and fruitful career as both a bandleader and solo artist, not to mention collaborations with some of the most iconic names of his generation, including Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Jerry Garcia. Bromberg’s latest recording, last year’s The Blues, the Whole Blues, and Nothing But the Blues, was a faithful ode to that all-American genre that DownBeat named its Blues Album of the Year in last year’s critics’ poll. The guitarist brings his quintet to The Foundry on Thursday, where he’ll be supported by local Americana duo MrJordanMrTonks.
