An annual benefit for musicians’ resource center Nuçi’s Space, Athens Business Rocks invites local businesses to form one-off bands featuring their employees. These groups compete against one another in terms of both fundraising and performance, with the show itself judged by a panel of Athens-music luminaries. Lots of heavy hitters signed up this year, including New West Records, TSAV and Creature Comforts—but enough with the objectivity. Saturday sees the sure-to-be triumphant return of Flagpole to the ABR arena, as our band Stranger Danger will play music from Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things.” The show starts early at 6:30 p.m., and Stranger Danger brings the house down at 9.
