Celebrating its 26th anniversary, the studio of artist Rebecca Wood, at 450 Georgia Dr., will host a spring sale of handmade clay dishware ranging from plates and bowls to mugs and other one-of-a-kind pieces. Currently one of the largest pottery studios in the South, R. Wood has become well recognized across the country for producing functional and decorative pieces offered in simple shapes and bold colors. For summer 2017, Wood has created a special new design of dogwoods that decorate two sizes of platters. The series of seasonal Southern flora will continue in the fall with pokeberries. Additionally, a “seconds” table of slightly flawed pieces will be sold at discounted prices.
