Rick Williams’ Blues Olympics

For the past decade or so, Rick Williams’ Blues Olympics has provided a dose of townie-centric holiday spirit to Athenians enjoying a (brief) respite from the student population. The popular Christmastime event consists of an all-star lineup of locals and former locals grooving their way through multiple sets of bluesy rock and roll. Spearheaded by Athens expat Williams, who now lives in New York, the annual show has been known to feature familiar names like Scott Low, Clarence “Big C” Cameron, Jason Fuller, Tony Giordano, Michael Doke, Ted Lahey, Timi Conley and many other Nowhere Bar mainstays and alums.
