The State Ballet Theatre of Russia will perform one of the most widely beloved ballets in the world, following a little girl’s dreamlike Christmas Eve as she encounters an army of mice, toy soldiers and a prince. With elaborately painted sets and bedazzled costumes, the production features authentic choreography shared by the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow. Set to Tchaikovsky’s famous score, the performance includes wintertime classics such as “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy,” “Waltz of the Flowers,” “Waltz of the Snowflakes” and the title character’s triumphant and punchy “March.” Performances will take place Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 and 6 p.m.
