Local artist Stan Mullins is most often recognized for his giant bronze and marble sculptures, some of which can be seen in the lawn of his enchanting studio off Pulaski Street. He also happens to be a talented painter (see his exhibit at Ciné) and storyteller, and has illustrated four children’s books so far. Mullins will read and sign copies of Codalino: A Shepherd Dog’s Little Tail, his self-published Christmas story about Jesus and his dog, which was inspired by his own Rhodesian Ridgeback, a faithful companion for over a decade. The reading will be followed by milk and cookies with Santa, and donations will be collected to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Athens.
