The organizers of local hip hop outlet Indiefest have arranged a one-night-only event featuring performances from some of Athens’ hardest-working and most essential musicians, including Tony B, Yung’N Restless, Dictator, Caufield, the We’re Weird collective—which features Squalle, Blacknerdninja and LG—and elder statesman Ishues, who is back on the scene after a lengthy absence, as detailed in a Flagpole cover story last year. It’s no accident the concert is being held at the family-friendly Foundry: Organizers say their mission is “building bridges to other genres and communities [and] inviting the city of Athens to come out and enjoy this community-based showcase.”
