Pottery Studio Sales

Demonstrating the camaraderie between local potters, multiple studios will host open houses and sales the first weekend of June. Boulevard neighborhood potter Carter Gillies will open up his home studio, located at 572 Nantahala Ave., from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. In addition to his eclectic mix of functional and decorative pots, Gillies will offer smaller pieces at half the price for kids. Watkinsville’s Wolf Creek Studio will host a sale from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. featuring ceramics by Jorie Berman, Juana Gnecco, Jen Graff, Nancy Green and Minsoo Yuh, plus prints by Rich Panico and hand-printed textiles and paper by Sara Lee Parker. Simultaneously at Farmington Pottery, Geoff and Lisa Pickett will offer a variety of pots as well as herbal soaps and skincare products made with their garden’s herbs. Jeff Bishoff will also host a sale at his studio, located at 1790 Salem Rd. in Farmington, from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Gillies will host a follow-up sale June 11–12 with fellow potters Bishoff, Gnecco, Geoff Pickett and Kyle Jones.
