Get your buzz on for a good cause Saturday from 1–4 p.m. at the 6th annual Good Food Good Beer Block Party at Creature Comforts.

In addition to the regular $12 tours (which includes six six-ounce samples), attendees can sample food from Heirloom Cafe, Last Resort, Pauley’s Crepe Bar, The National, Five & Ten, The Branded Butcher and Three Porch Farm by buying $1 tickets. Click here for the full menu. All dishes are under $10.

Proceeds will benefit Wholesome Wave Georgia, which doubles SNAP benefits on purchases at the Athens Farmers Market.

DJ Osmose will be spinning tunes, too.

If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to enjoy the return of Creature Comfort’s Automatic pale ale at the block party. It’s being re-released on draft early this month and in cans in mid-June. Athens painter Michelle Fontaine designed the cans.

Elsewhere, proceeds from today’s Southern Brewing Co. tours will benefit Extra Special People, a Watkinsville nonprofit that helps individuals with developmental disabilities; and Terrapin Beer Co. hosts acoustic indie-folk band Blackwater Deep at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
