Taqueria La Parrilla has come a long way from its quiet beginnings in the Homewood Hills Shopping Center, with a location on Athens’ Eastside and one in Watkinsville, in addition to the original.
Now, its owners have inked a deal to buy and move into the sad, giant, empty building on Highway 29 N (near its intersection with Highway 72) that once housed the Tartar House, a bygone attempt at a seafood franchise by Zaxby’s.
Hoo-frickin-ray. The space has been vacant forever and a day, and it’s a great relief to have a beloved local business take it over. ETA for opening is early 2017.
