After 21 years in business, Lumpkin Cafe had its last one Saturday. Owner Lisa Tangren said:
Closing the cafe was not an easy decision to make-emotionally… I’ve worked there as a waitress then owner for over 25 years. My lease is up on the 31st, the health department wants expensive renovations, and lunch business has been in the decline. Financially it just makes sense. I am currently in discussions with area caterers and hope to stay part of the culinary community.
It’s been an amazing journey and I’m grateful for all involved.
