Mannaweenta Is Going Brick and Mortar; Georgia Bar Is Coming Back to Life

Are you super into the delicious Ethiopian food that Mannaweenta serves up at the West Broad Farmers Market on Saturdays (reviewed here last year) but you wish you could get it at other times and on other days? Well, it looks like a regular physical location will be an option soon.

Rather than the former Viva Argentine space on Barnett Shoals at College Station, Mannaweenta should be moving in to the Village at Cedar Shoals shopping center, next to the Omni, contingent on approval of its request to make interior modifications. Good on you, Eastside.

Other news:

Georgia Bar is about to reopen as Bar Georgia, with a scrubbed up interior and some of the same owners.

In news that will delight Ben Wyatt, Eddie’s Calzones, which has another location, in Columbia, SC, will be opening in the former Al’s Beef on Clayton Street downtown. Judging from its menu, it should do brisk business late at night when inhibitions are lowered and a cheesecake calzone seems like a good idea.

Juice Up is closed, meaning Arden’s Garden is your only juice option downtown.

Holy Crepe has a Kickstarter going to fund a wastewater dump station (etc.) so it can actually get going on a regular basis with its mobile creperie.
