The Table

The space in the Baxter Street lofts building that previously housed Silver Lining Cupcakes now has a new restaurant in it: The Table. The name is a little generic, but the food looks not uninteresting, and the folks who own it have done this before (not in Athens).

Described as a “new American bistro,” The Table does lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. The menu is a little more crosscultural than the blurb might convey, with a bulgogi burger, a yuzu miso salad with chicken, shrimp and grits, a tofu-bean burger, chicken stuffed with spinach and brie and wrapped in bacon and more.

The Epps Bridge Parkway location of Cheddar’s Casual Cafe, the menu for which can be accessed here, is open and was packed the heck out this past Sunday at 3 p.m., despite not being allowed to offer liquor drinks due to its Oconee County address.

Fried whatnot and the “Legendary Monster Cookie Sundae” appear to be enough. The restaurant shares an access road and sort of a parking lot with Freddy’s and has an exciting water feature out front.
