After opening Sept. 19, Freshtopia, Achim Reus’ newest project, a bistro in the Ansonborough development on Gaines School Road is, um, closed. Reus confirmed but hasn’t given a reason or any thoughts on the matter yet.
Over in the ATL, Food Network is casting for “Food Network Star” this Sunday from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at the W Atlanta Downtown. More info is available on the casting company’s website.
On Saturday, Olive Basket is having its official grand opening in the Bottleworks, with prizes, food and an ice cream social featuring blood-orange-infused olive oil and dark-chocolate-balsamic flavors at 3 p.m.
