Kumquat Mae Opens Saturday, Harvest for the Homeless Raffle Tix Available

After closing in Watkinsville, Kumquat Mae bakery/eatery will reopen tomorrow (Nov. 1) in the Arbor building on Mitchell Bridge Road, starting at 9 a.m. You can check out the menu on its website, which ranges from eggs benedict to pizzas and cheeseburgers. 

As part of this year’s Harvest for the Homeless, organized by the Athens Area Homeless Shelter, you can buy raffle tickets for $5 a pop that give you the chance to win a dinner out every week for a year.

It’s a total of more than $1600 in gift certificates from eateries including The National, Seabear, Last Resort, Heirloom, White Tiger Gourmet, Brixx Pizza, Mama’s Boy, Taziki’s, Ike and Jane, Pulaski Heights, La Dolce Vita, Etienne Brasserie, Trappeze, South, Highwire, George’s Low Country Table, Little City Diner, Earth Fare, DePalmas, Tin Drum, Buffalo’s, Jittery Joes, 5 & 10, Cali N Tito’s, The Branded Butcher, Freshtopia, Kelly’s, Speakeasy, The Pine, The World Famous, Automatic Pizza, The Varsity and more.

The drawing is Nov. 14, and you can buy tickets on the website.
