Korean BBQ Opening in Echo/Farm 255 Space

After sitting empty for a few months, the space at 255 W. Washington Street downtown best known for housing Farm 255 and home to Echo most recently, has been leased, this time to Diane and Jay Suh of Shokitini, who plan to open a Korean BBQ restaurant there as early as May.

The Suhs are currently in Korea and could not be reached for comment, but Shokitini bar manager Buddha Yo confirmed the deal. They’ve also taken over the lease for 42 Degrees, next door, and plan to add at least a couple of karaoke rooms, so there are renovations to be done. All the tables will have hood vents and the ability to cook your own bulgogi, veggies and more.

Considering the sizable Korean population in Athens and the deliciousness and diversity of the national cuisine, it is, frankly, about dang time.
