It is, unfortunately, that time of year. Co-owner Brian Colantuno confirmed that the Oglethorpe Avenue branch of Transmetropolitan, which opened in 2008, will close permanently Sunday, Jan. 12.
As the incorporated business owns the building, its owners (Colantuno and Wes Russo) will have to decide whether to lease to someone else, but Colantuno said they haven’t started thinking about that yet.
Colantuno confirmed that the pizza restaurant’s flagship Clayton Street location will remain open, adding that he and Russo want to “concentrate on downtown.”
