After a surprisingly long time vacant, following the closing of first Five Points Deli and then The Local Jam, the space on the ground floor of the Stiles Building in the heart of Five Points has found a new tenant in metro Atlanta-based franchise J. Christopher’s, a breakfast and lunch restaurant.
Whether the squabbles over parking in front of the building or something else was to blame for the closures, it’s prime real estate. I’m sure most of us would rather see a locally owned business going in rather than another example of something you can already get in Atlanta, and I’ve found myself wondering why no one seems interested in doing dinner out of the space, but something is better than nothing, and a 7 a.m. breakfast is a boon. The restaurant will open late fall.
