After changing its name from Doc Chey’s and leaving the franchise but maintaining basically the same food, Chango’s Noodle House on Clayton Street is closed. Here’s hoping someone else can make use of the big, beautiful space, which is one of the coolest in downtown.
Also, as of end of day Nov. 3, Sisters Creole Market will be no more. According to its owners:
As most of you know, we have been working with Athens-Clarke County for quite some time in our attempt to accommodate indoor seating. Sadly we have not been successful nor have we been able to find a suitable alternative location. It has been our great privilege to meet all of you and share our love of homestyle creole cooking. Serving you has been a joy and we will cherish our memories of all the good times and many laughs we’ve had together.
