Tidbits

Yoguri, at the corner of Clayton Street and College Avenue downtown, has closed. The independent yogurt shop was the first in the Athens area to serve Korean-style fro-yo, which subsequently boomed. As is often the way of the world, pioneers can sometimes pay the price, letting later folks know where the pitfalls are. Or maybe the rent on that particular corner means a yogurt shop can’t make enough money there. Regardless, it’s sad to have the place empty again.

Marti’s at Midday, on the other hand, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this Halloween. Yay for 10 years of pimento cheese.
