After several comments left on my blog posts about the fact that Siri Thai was looking at space in the Ansonborough mixed-use development on Gaines School Road, I finally managed to get someone there on the phone and confirm. Looks like Siri is expanding, not moving, meaning both Eastside and Westside will be home to a location.
Another comment from a couple of weeks back (I try to see them all, but sometimes new ones don’t show up—if you want me to get your tip for sure, email it to food@flagpole.com) said there was a sign up where Cactus Cafe used to be in Watkinsville, near Piccolo’s in the same shopping center on Hog Mountain Road. I haven’t been by there to check it out in person, but other folks in the area said there’s definitely construction work going on in the space, although they couldn’t confirm it was a restaurant moving in.
