Terrapin Is Making a ‘Walking Dead’ Beer

Athens-based Terrapin Beer Co. is releasing an official beer for “The Walking Dead.”

The AMC hit—filmed in and around Atlanta—announced Blood Orange IPA on Friday. “Made with blood orange peel and a horrific amount of hops, this bloodthirsty red IPA will have you prepared for the upcoming zombie apocalypse,” the show’s site says.

There’s no word on whether it’s brewed with brains.

This isn’t the first time “The Walking Dead” has featured Terrapin. A grocery store Rick’s crew raided in Season 4 had a stack of cases of the brewery’s flagship Rye Pale Ale.

Too bad Bob’s not around to enjoy a cold (or rather, given the lack of electricity, a warm) one. As Daryl might say, it’s definitely a better option than peach schnapps.

No release date was given for Blood Orange IPA. The next season of “The Walking Dead” starts in October, while the spinoff “Fear the Walking” will premiere Sunday, Aug. 23.
