Puma Yu’s, the bar/restaurant that grew out of the Side Hustle pop-up, is open on Oneta Street for dinner (described as “Thai drinking food”) and what sound like absolutely gorgeous drinks 4–10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 4–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and for brunch Sunday from 11:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
Gyro Wrap is open downtown for all your nostalgia needs.
Ponko Chicken is open on Baxter Street, doing Japanese-ish chicken tenders next to Wingster and the dorms.
Blenderz is open in what was Frutta Bowls, at the base of The Mark, doing bowls, paninis, wraps, juices and smoothies.
Cafe Racer’s food truck will be set up on the Eastside in the parking lot at 2085 Barnett Shoals Rd., by Green Acres Baptist Church and the Taco Bell, slinging food and coffee Tuesday through Thursday from 7–10 a.m.
The Autumn Harvest Feast to benefit Athens Farmers Market will be held Oct. 9 at The Hill (1800 Crescent Lane) for the first time in three years. Tickets are $125–$145 and benefit things like the SNAP-doubling program.
