The University of Georgia’s fall semester began earlier this month with an enrollment likely to reach 41,000, including a record first-year class of about 6,200, according to a UGA press release .Here are some images of what the beginning of the new school year looked like in Athens: first-year students moving into dorms, sorority rush unfolding on Milledge Avenue, the first day of classes on campus, UGA’s welcome event for first-year students in Sanford Stadium, and downtown on Saturday night.
