Bring your picnic baskets, coolers, chairs or a blanket to spread out on the front lawn of the Cultural Center to celebrate Independence Day. After the national anthem plays, the Classic City Band will perform traditional patriotic music starting at 7 p.m. Founded in 1976, the group is the oldest continuously functioning community band in Georgia. Among its repertoire are marches, jazz, pop, show tunes, operas and more. The lawn is expected to fill up fast, so it’s advised to arrive early to secure your spot and settle in for the festivities.
