Waiting for Farm Burger to open on Prince Avenue, in the St. Joe’s development, after years of me mentioning it? It’s getting close. You can sample the wares this Friday, Nov. 12 from 5–8:30 p.m. at the Creature Comforts taproom. What’s on the menu? Grass-fed beef sliders, cheeseburgers, a Creature Comforts slider topped with grilled peppers and onions with beer cheese made from Creature’s Table Beer, spiced crispy chickpeas and vegan patties with arugula, chow-chow and vegan mayo. Ten percent of proceeds benefit Giving Kitchen.
Farm Burger is slated to open around late November or early December, in the new building, not in the sanctuary as previously planned.
Over at The National, on Sunday, Nov. 14, you can find Matt Palmerlee (ex-The Branded Butcher among other restaurants) scooping ice cream with Savannah pastry chef Natasha Gaskill during the day as Matt and Nat Make Ice Cream, and then cooking dinner as Hotel Lugash at 5 p.m., with Daniel Ray (formerly of the Old Pal) behind the bar. Hotel Lugash is on Instagram at @hotellugash and says it serves “Modern and Traditional Lugashian Food & Drink.” Lugash is a fictional country in the Middle East in the Pink Panther films.
