home.made Is Back for Curbside Pick-Up and More Food News

home.made

The past few months have been filled with trepidation that one of Athens’ best-loved restaurants might not come back, especially in the wake of other closings, but Mimi Maumus’ home.made on Baxter Street is returning to curbside pick-up this Thursday. It’ll run Thursday through Saturday from 5-8 p.m., and the menu will remain limited. No in-house dining yet.

Amici—the pizza and wings chain with locations in downtown Athens as well as Madison, Monroe, Clemson, Covington, Lake Oconee, Conyers, Milledgeville, Macon, Easley and Fayetteville (the last not quite open yet)—is adding another to its list, moving in to the Falls of Oconee shopping center.

Los Primos Taqueria Express is no longer doing breakfast. RIP the Athens Steak ‘N Shake, which was so much anticipated and ended with a whimper. The former KFC on West Broad near Alps is becoming an Andy’s Frozen Custard, a chain out of Missouri.
