Last night, Public Enemy frontman Chuck D delivered a lecture on “Rap, Race and Reality” at the University’s Tate Center Grand Hall. Flagpole was there to document the occasion.
For an hour, the rapper and activist spoke on race, the media, hip-hop and the shifting face of entertainment in the modern era.
Now in his early 50s, Chuck D seemed as vital and vibrant as ever. Kudos to UGA’s University Union for pulling off this booking. Here’s hoping for more appearances like this one in the future.
