The Botanical Garden’s Sunflower Concert Series recently returned for another year inviting the public to enjoy an evening of music among the flowers. Next up in the series is The New Orleans Jazz Stompers, a traditional 20th century jazz band featuring lead vocalist Liam Parke. In addition to the music, each ticket includes snacks and beverages, and guests are also encouraged to bring picnic dinners and blankets or chairs. Discounted tickets are available for attendees under 16, as well as season passes for those who wish to attend the whole series. Later dates in the Sunflower Concert Series include Beatles tribute band Abbey Road LIVE! on Aug. 10, and ‘80s college rock and new wave cover band The 80’s Walkmen on Sept. 16. Each show will be held in the Flower Garden, or at the Visitor Center and Conservatory in the case of inclement weather.
