First up is Lofi & Chill, a hip-hop showcase presented by Volumes that featured Trvy, Anime Zayy, Afro Kenobi, LONELEE, Just the Empress, Boyfrnd and djbobfish at The World Famous on Thursday, Mar. 3.
The 40 Watt hosted Cracker‘s annual Camp In 8 Thursday, Mar. 3–Saturday, Mar. 5. There’s a cold snap headed Athens’ way this weekend, but for now, let’s look forward to warmer weather with Cracker’s “100 Flower Power Maximum” and Elf Power‘s “Everlasting Spring.”
Hopped next door for a glimpse into Classic City Rave Night at Flicker Theatre and Bar.
And managed to catch VG Minus at Aubrey Entertainment’s RPM series at Southern Brewing Co.
On Saturday, Mar. 5, Flicker hosted Horse Jumper of Love (Boston) and local post-punk darkwave act Coma Therapy.
That same night, we had Cydian and Murder the Mood over at Ciné.

The Athens-Clarke County Library hosted an enchanting afternoon matinee with Kiran Fernandes and Madeline Polites on Sunday, Mar. 6.
Liam Grant (Nashua, NH) and Newport Transplant took the stage at Flicker on Monday, Mar. 7. Sharing members with Clavus, a new emo hardcore band we featured here last week, Newport Transplant represents the other side of the punk spectrum with a spunky honky tonk sound.
