See My Friends: A Memorial Concert for Jeff Walls

As reported on Homedrone, longtime Athens musician Jeff Walls died last week after battling a rare lung disease. A member of indie-pop group Guadalcanal Diary and garage-rock burners The Woggles, among others, Walls was a talented and highly admired guitarist who made a substantial imprint on the Athens scene over the years. A benefit event scheduled for Friday at The Foundry has transformed into a memorial show, with proceeds helping to alleviate Walls’ family’s medical bills. Performers include Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs, Barry Marler and Trent Allen of Dreams So Real, Michael Guthrie Band, The Mockingbirds and Walls’ Guadalcanal Diary bandmate Murray Attaway.
