AthFest’s comedy showcase was designed to give local comics a chance to perform with bigger headliners and in front of bigger audiences. Performers have gone on to appear on late-night TV, movies and popular podcasts. This year’s headliner, Jason Webb, is known for his mix of high and low-energy material, along with a uniquely dark sense of humor. Originally from North Carolina and now in California, Webb has been doing stand-up for eight years, performing at events like the Orlando Indie Comedy Festival, Asheville Comedy Festival and SF Sketchfest, to name a few. Local comics include Noell Appling, Jake Ward, Aaron Stafford and host Sarah Kale. The local podcast “Behind the Dial” will host a free official afterparty.
