1. Caroline Bailey (Last week: N/A)

The UGA student and president of the university's Black Affairs Council proved that activism is alive and well in Athens with a well attended march last Friday that aimed to draw attention to racism and homophobia on campus.

2. Aaron Murray (Last week: N/A)

In his final season, UGA's QB1 continues to shatter team and conference records (suck it, Tebow!) with aplomb. His latest achievement came Saturday against Appalachian State, when Murray became the SEC's all-time leader in touchdown passes. (Honorable mention goes to perennial backup/projected 2014 starter/silly-name-haver Hutson Mason, who threw his first in-game pass since 2011.)

3. Diane Bell (Last week: N/A)

The business owner has thrown her hat into the ring for next year's District 7 ACC Commission race, kicking off what's sure to be an interesting election season.

4. Jim McKay (Last week: N/A)

The filmmaker, who broke through with his 1990 R.E.M. tour doc Tourfilm, is in town this week as part of UGA's Spotlight on the Arts festival

5. Jason Carter (Last week: N/A)

Grandson of Jimmy and UGA Law School grad Jason Carter announced his gubernatorial candidacy last week. Does the smiley Democrat have a shot? This should be fun to watch.
