Athens Slingshot Accepting Submissions for 2014

Athens Slingshot, “the new festival of music, electronic arts and tech in Athens, GA,” plans to return for a second year in 2014, with hopes that a state economic development grant will help it expand from last year‘s impressively envisioned but under-attended event.

On March 21–22 of next year (that’s the weekend after UGA’s spring break and SXSW), the fest will again take over downtown Athens, spotlighting local, national and international musicians, artists and innovators.

Today, festival organizers announced they are taking submissions in the music and art categories. The deadline for art submissions is Nov. 1; no deadline has yet been posted for music.
