The Powder Room

The Powder Room. I sense a double entendre afoot.

Lineup: Charlton (Gene) E. Woolfolk III, Bubba McDonald, Aaron Sims. Featuring Members Of: Manray, Pride Parade, Life Coach. Influences: Josh Price, money, the elderly.

Not much is known about this mysterious new trio, which has yet to even grace a stage. Still, its members’ collective pedigree is such that it’s not hard to guess what the music will be like. (Hint: loud.)

The group, which “plan[s] on recording some tunes this winter,” is about as new as new gets. It’s a testament to the bandmembers’ musical history, then, that The Powder Room’s first gig is one any local group would feel lucky to have scored: at the 40 Watt, on a Saturday, opening for Maserati.

Yeah. Suffice it to say the pressure is on for these dudes. But if their pasts are any indication, there’s no need to worry: they’ll bring it, hard. Visit www.facebook.com/powderroomga.

Next Show: Saturday, Oct. 27 @ 40 Watt Club
