Nikki Lane, New Madrid, The Artisanals

For its seventh annual Ho Ho Ho Down, which has previously taken place in New York, Atlanta and Houston, New West Records is bringing the party back home to the Classic City. Proceeds from this year’s Georgia Theatre event, which triples as concert, holiday party and charity function, will benefit Team Nelson, an Atlanta nonprofit working to send orphans in the impoverished East African country of Tanzania to school. Live music comes courtesy of Athens psych dudes New Madrid, buzzy Charleston, SC roots-rockers The Artisanals and outlaw country devotee Nikki Lane, whose latest album, Highway Queen, was released on New West earlier this year.
