Burns Like Fire EP Release Show

Blending speedy, melodic pop-punk with hardscrabble gutter-rock, Athens band Burns Like Fire has spent seven years toiling at local clubs and on the regional touring circuit. That hard work shows, with each of the group’s releases proving both more potent and polished than the last. BLF’s latest effort, the Always in Trouble EP, features six tracks of in-your-face rock that also show the band hasn’t lost its sophomoric sense of humor (see: “Hands Up Dicks Out”). Celebrate the EP’s release Saturday at the Caledonia, where the bill also features Nashville band El Escapado, as well as Caulfield, Cuddlefish and Blue Bodies, all standouts on the local scene.
