Let it Be… Automatic

Here’s another budget-friendly option to support a worthy local nonprofit. Proceeds from Tuesday’s all-star Georgia Theatre concert will benefit Family Connection-Communities in Schools, the combined, Athens-based arm of the statewide and national education organizations. Live music will be provided by local groups Grand Vapids, Oak House, New Madrid, Dana Swimmer and PCI (a brand new act featuring former members of Futurebirds, Modern Skirts and The District Attorneys), with each band playing selections from two iconic albums, both titled Let it Be—The Beatles’ oft-debated 1970 swan song and The Replacements’ 1984 alt-punk masterpiece.
